Become an Archivist
Some of the best stories in this archive are the ones nobody was writing down. An Archivist writes them, puts their name on them, and they stay online permanently.
One stone, a whole collection
A family stone opens one page about one person. An Archivist stone opens everything an Archivist has made: every page, every collection, every project, gathered under one name. A veterans post can put one stone at the front door that opens a page for every member. A historical society can put one in the museum lobby. A writer can hand one to anybody who asks what they do.
Who it is for
- History writers. The mill that employed a whole town, the nurse nobody put a marker on, the disaster three newspapers spelled three different ways. You do the reading, you write the page, and it keeps your name on it.
- Nonprofits, historical societies and veterans posts. Your members, your honor roll, your anniversaries, under one name.
- Schools and libraries. A class project or a local history room that the next class adds to instead of starting over.
- Businesses. Your founders, your people and your finished projects, in the lobby and online.
What it includes
- As many pages as you want to write, rather than one per account.
- Your name on every page you write, and a profile that gathers them.
- Up to sixty photographs on a page.
- No thirty-day editing freeze. Come back and correct a page in five years if you find something better.
- Every page public and searchable, always.
- $49.99 a year. The first year includes one History Stone that opens your whole collection. Renewals do not include another stone.

The Founders Club
Anyone who joins the list between 1 October – 29 December 2026 keeps $49.99 a year for as long as they keep the plan, is marked as a Founding Archivist on their profile, and is first in when it opens. The window is a date, not a headcount.
About the credit
When somebody orders a History Stone for a page you wrote, you receive $10 of credit toward your membership.
That is product credit. It does not expire, and it can be spent only on MyHistoryStone. We are not going to describe it as a wage or a business opportunity, because it is neither. Our guess is that most Archivists will do this because they want the page to exist.
What we ask
The standard the rest of the archive is written to, which does not bend:
- True by all accounts. Where the sources disagree, the page says so rather than picking the tidier version.
- Every fact comes from a source you actually read.
- If you could not show the page to the family of the person it is about, it is written wrong.
A person reads your first three pages before they publish. Not to police your voice, which is the part we want. To check that the standard held.
It is not open yet
There is nothing to pay and no card to enter. Leave an address and we will write to you when it opens. What is described above may change before then, and if it does we will tell you what changed rather than quietly adjust it.
